Brighton Climate Change invite you to take part in Climate Camp 2008. Say No to New UK Coal and come to the Camp For Climate Action this year. 3-11 August 2008 at Kingsnorth Power Station in Kent
Four days packed full of Educational Workshops + Day of Mass Action
I recommend looking at the new improved website for the Camp at http://www.climatecamp.org.uk/
More about Coal as a leading UK Climate issue, particularly in Wales http://thecoalhole.org/

Camping is an action in itself! Peaceful resistance has a long and vibrant history, from Gandhi to the Suffragettes, from the Civil Rights protests to the Anti-Roads Movement of the early 90's!
Kingsnorth Powerstation is lined up as the first new coal-fired power station to be built in the UK for 30 years. Come along and camp to say that this is not what we want as an Energy answer for the UK.
I personally believe that the issue of Climate Change and specifically the rising issue of New UK Coal are so worrying and so urgent, that everybody needs to come to the Camp and bang their pots and pans.
We had a good contingent from Brighton attending last year and hopefully more people will feel the urge this time round.
Best Regards,
Helen Dewhurst
