7) AOB (any issues omitted above now to be raised under AOB)
ACTION POINTS from last meeting, on Tuesday 27th May:
1. Vicky to find out about the timetable for revising THE CORE STRATEGY
PREFERRED OPTIONS document. Vicky has reported that the Revised Core Strategy Preferred Options Document is going to Brighton and Hove City Council's Cabinet on 12th June for approval, followed by consultation between June and August 2008. It is important that B & H residents and Groups interested in Energy take part in this consultation, because the CORE STRATEGY is the central tenet of the Council's planning policy. We need to ensure that the right preferred options are chosen.
2a. Jacqui to email Thurstan Crockett / Mita Patel RE scope for involvement of TB&H in One Planet Living/Climate Change Strategy workshops as publicized in Chris Todd's document showing the work plan. The workshops on Zero Carbon are being developed in 4 key areas of: Business, Community & Voluntary, Public Sector, Schools & Education. Jacqui has contacted The Council's Sustainability Team RE TB&H involvement in the stakeholder workshops as well as our interest in having a TB&H representative on the Council's Sustainability Partnership, which recently replaced The Sustainability Commission.
2b. Jacqui to email Thurstan Crockett / Mita Patel RE possibility of TALK
(based on the March to Dec 2008 work plan for the Climate Change Strategy)
to be given at TB&H's July 2008 meeting. Jacqui has secured Thurstan Crockett's agreement to address a (July) meeting of Transition Brighton and Hove for approx 30 minutes on the city's Climate Change Strategy and One Planet Living's work plan in revising it.
3. Vicky to circulate TB&H Local Area Agreement indicators RE Carbon
reduction. These can be downloaded via a Microsoft Word Attachment, posted with the AGENDA LSP of the Local Strategic Partnership's last (May 2008) meeting.
4. Maureen to raise at the next hub meeting the issue of setting Agenda
Items in advance of TB&H meetings
5. Ted to plug the work plan for the Climate Change Strategy and the policy
framework (as represented by the organisations shown in Christ Todd's
