Energy group

The transition Energy Group is an open organisation. It seeks to be advised by the best science available.
The goals of the organisation are:

(i) To participate in an Energy Descent and Resilience Action Plan and write the Energy part of the Descent Plan.
(ii) Help enable reductions in energy consumption directly or indirectly derived from fossil fuels.
(iii) Facilitate a Renewable Energy Scheme.
(iv) To participate in Community Energy Schemes.
(v) To participate in developing local resilience in energy production.
(vi) To educate and help the public to learn about energy consumption and conservation, in order to change behaviour.
(vii) To participate in local decision-making in energy-related matters.
(viii) To obtain funding to develop the aims and projects of the Transition Energy Group”.

Meeting day/time

The Energy group's main meeting is on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm, usually at the Revitalise Cafe, Western Road, Hove (in front of Hove Town Hall). The group also has particular topic meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the same venue.
